Shoe Drive

safe_logo_080416Azalea Blossom, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the prevention, awareness, and education of social, domestic and child abuse through the utilization of the creative and performing arts. We are based in Brooklyn with a satellite office in Albany County, New York.

Currently, Azalea Blossom is holding a shoe fundraiser in conjunction with Funds2Orgs. We are collecting gently worn and new shoes in order to raise money for the SAFE through the arts bullying prevention program. SAFE through the arts is an educational program, which utilizes the creative and performing arts in order to empower young children. It is currently geared towards PreK and kindergarten classrooms in the public schools within New York City’s five boroughs and Upstate New York’s Capital Region. Previously, the SAFE through the arts program has taken place in Albany, Dutchess, Delaware, Greene, Ulster, Schoharie, Schenectady counties.

Funds2Orgs gives Azalea Blossom money for every bag of twenty-five gently worn or new pair of shoes that we collect. We are collecting adult and children’s dress and casual shoes, sandals, and boots. These shoes are then used to start micro-enterprises in Haiti, Uganda, and India.
