Azalea Blossom’s annual fundraising dance
Thank you to everyone who attended Azalea Blossom’s annual fall dance on October 30th.

Upcoming SAFE through the Arts programs in Gilboa and Schenectady
Azalea Blossom Inc. is pleased to announce its upcoming SAFE through the Arts programs. During the week of December 6-10, the SAFE through the Arts program will take place at Gilboa-Conesville School in Schoharie County, New York, thanks in part to grants from Stewarts Shops, the Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation and the New Heritage Music Foundation. In early January, Margaret will be bringing the program to Mount Pleasant Middle School in Schenectady, New York. Azalea Blossom’s annual fundraising dance, October 30th
In honor of National Domestic Violence Awareness month, Azalea Blossom Incorporated, a 501 c3 organization dedicated to the prevention, awareness, and education of domestic and social violence and child abuse through the use of music, multi-media and the Arts, will be holding its annual fundraising dance at Conkling Hall in Rensselaerville on Saturday, October 30th from 7 to 10 PM. The suggested donation is $5 per person and everyone is welcome! The event will feature music by local DJ Richard Tollner, food available for purchase, and fabulous raffle prizes! SAFE through the Arts at Windham-Ashland-Jewett and Marlboro
The SAFE through the Arts violence prevention program took place for seventh and eighth graders at Windham-Ashland –Jewett school In Greene County during the last week of September. The program was made possible, in part, by generous donations from The Bank of Greene County and the New Heritage Music Foundation. Currently, SAFE through the Arts is in residence for all eighth graders at Marlboro School in Ulster County. The program at Marlboro, which is being sponsored by and the New Heritage Music Foundation, will culminate with an assembly concert performed by Margaret’s band joined by members of the eighth grade chorus on Friday, October 15th. www.azaleablossom.com/pages/safe.html

Azalea Blossom receives grant from Stewarts Shops
Azalea Blossom Incorporated, the 501c3 organization founded by Margaret Bernstein for the awareness, prevention, and education of domestic violence through the use of music, multi-media and the arts, is a recent recipient of a $350 grant for the SAFE through the Arts program. The funds will be used towards programming of the SAFE through the Arts program in upstate New York. For further information, please visit our SAFE page.

Happy Azaleazation Day!
On March 8th, 1983, Margaret wrote her song “Azalea”, which later planted the seeds for the forming of her Growing Azalea Music Productions (1992) Azalea Blossom Incorporated (2005) and her original children’s’ musical ‘The Little Seed” (1990). The concept of Azalea is to celebrate the uniqueness and beauty within each of us. “Azaleation Day” also coincidently coincides with International Women’s Day.
