• It is estimated that a domestic violence act occurs every 15 seconds somewhere in the United States.
• Approximately 1 in 5 female high school students report being physically abused by a dating partner.
• Studies suggest that between 3.3 and 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually.
• Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of fifteen and forty-four.
• An estimated 960,000 incidents of domestic violence against a current of former spouse, boyfriend, or
