Where does the SAFE through the Arts program take place?
Currently, the SAFE through the Arts program takes place in public middle schools throughout New York State. The program takes place every day during regularly scheduled health/ PE, ELA or Social studies classes for each eighth grade student in larger urban middle schools, and for each seventh and eighth grade student in smaller rural schools. It is up to each individual school to decide which subjects and class periods will work best to host the program.

When does the SAFE through the Arts program take place?
The SAFE through the Arts program takes place throughout the school calendar year, from September to June. We currently have a few spots left for the fall and a few more openings for spring programs. Please check the enclosed calendar for availability.

Why is the SAFE through the Arts program important?

How do we apply for the SAFE through the Arts program?
Schools that are interested in hosting a SAFE through the Arts program at their school for either the fall or spring semester need to follow the following steps:

1) Download the SAFE through the Arts application form. Please be sure to include your preference for scheduling as well as your need for financial assistance. Click here for a calendar of available dates (insert here) .

2) Upon receipt of you application, we will call you to schedule a meeting during which the logistics of hosting a SAFE through the Arts program at your school will be discussed and any questions you have will be answered.

3) Two to three weeks prior to the scheduled SAFE through the Arts program, we will be sending out a contract and address last minute concerns.
